FUNDRAISING

Ponoka Gymnastics Club is a non-profit organization, and we sincerely appreciate your commitment and participation in our fundraising initiatives.
Your support is crucial and directly contributes to the sustainability and growth of the Ponoka Gymnastics Club. Fundraising ensures we can continue providing high quality programs for all members which includes acquiring new equipment, ensuring ongoing maintenance and minimizing operational costs.
We are incredibly proud to operate such a facility, though the cost of maintaining the space is substantial.
Parents or guardians of children enrolled in the program are required to participate in one mandatory fundraiser each session. A fundraising bond of $200($100 for spring) per family will be included on your invoice at checkout. This bond will be refunded upon the completion of your fundraising obligations.
SPRING 2026 fundraiser will be a cash raffle
Why is Gymnastics so expensive? Why all the fundraising?
This is a commonly asked question by members.
The truth is gymnastics carries many costs to operate that other community sports do not.
-We heat/cool and power a 2-story 9000+sqft building full time
-We do not have the ability to rent a space just for the hours we need it
-We pay dues to AGF just to be a member club
-All coaches must be NCCP trained extensively. On average coaches take a minimum of 6 courses at an average cost of $2000+, followed by many hours coaching before they can be certified
-Coaches are paid, not volunteer
-Coaches are each insured
-Gymnastics equipment comes at a cost, at minimum $150,000 for what our facility has when brand new
We are lucky to be able to fundraise as a non-profit, most for-profit gymnastics clubs charge $25-$28 per 1-hour classes, including in neighboring communities.
